Eneko Alberdi is a respected jazz guitarist who has always remained
linked to different forms of ethnic and traditional music. After extensive research
about the process of electrification of the blues discovered a cultural heritage of songs from the first
half of the 20th century, which together with more jazzy textures formed an excellent pairing. It's
combination is what we can find in the No Solo Blues Band, old blues performed by musicians
of the Malaga jazz community. The formation evokes the black music that was made before the rock explosion,
ranging from composers closer to jazz bop like Wes Montgomery to
representatives of the classic blues of the roaring 20s like Bessie Smith or the swing blues of
T-Bone Walker.
The result is a collection of beautiful songs executed with precision in a space where
these musicians also find a good place from which to develop improvisation. The
Eneko Alberdi's reunion with his facet as a singer facilitates accessibility for all
audiences to this music, which in addition to satisfying the most fanatic in the genre,
it has the virtue of serving as a bridge with which to enter into this wonderful music.
