A night of Gibraltarian Folk music and poetry, ‘Trovadores and Poets de nuestro Peñón’, celebrates Gibraltarian identity through poems and songs and will be produced and hosted by writer, singer and 2022 Cultural Award Ambassador Gabriel Moreno.
The night will feature performances by local singer-songwriters and poets who will showcase original material with their Llanito touch.
This will include extended musical performances by Adrian Pisarello joined by Jonathan Bugeja and Gabriel Moreno with his band of ‘Quivering Poets’. They will be supported by local singer-songwriters Mark Montegriffo and Nikolai Celecia. Jonathan Teuma (powerhouse of Llanito Spoken Word) will also grace the stage. Poetry performances by Rebecca Calderon, Sonia Golt, Davina Barbara and others will round off the exciting line-up for the evening.
This celebration of music, poetry and all things Gibraltarian will conclude the 2023 Gibraltar Literature Week, now in its fourth year. No olvides tu corazón en casa porque te va ha hacer falta.

Join us for the fourth edition of Gibraltar Literature Week, dedicated to promoting Gibraltarian and Gibraltar-based authors and celebrating the value of books, literature, and writing. The event will run between the 6th and 11th November featuring different activities to provide inspiration and encourage reading, writing, storytelling and more. The 2023 event will also include a soiree evening promoting Gibraltarian identity through songwriting and poetry.
The week offers a platform for discussion on a variety of subjects and themes with a focus on educational initiatives and opportunities. GCS is once again organising a varied programme which includes live events, online content, school visits, writing workshops, competitions, media articles and interviews, book launches and much more.
The event is organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and sponsored by the John Mackintosh Educational Trust.
