The popular Gibraltar International Song Festival returns once again this year offering the best acts of the unsigned (i.e. unpublished) market. The festival, now running its 8th edition, has grown in popularity from year to year, attracting hundreds of entries from around the world. These, narrowed down to the best songs, make up the 12 finalists who go head-to-head at the live show held at the Tercentenary Sports Hall this coming 6 May. You can be sure to be entertained by one of the most diverse bills offered on Gibraltar’s cultural scene, with contestants travelling from around the globe to compete in what is now considered one of the world’s most important song festivals. This year’s finalists come from Chile, Cuba, Gibraltar, Iceland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, UK and Venezuela. How’s that for diversity?
And, if that isn’t enough for you, this year’s festival will be honoured with the presence of one of Spain’s best voices and biggest exports: the one and only DAVID BUSTAMANTE. He will be performing his full concert from his latest tour “Amor de los dos”. The audience will be able to enjoy a one-and-a-half-hour show from this 14-sellout tour artist, who has now received over 15 platinum discs and sold more than a million albums in Spain and Latin America. Only 950 tickets will be available, so be sure to get yours now!
