Many of snooker’s leading players will be back at the Tercentenary Sports Hall in March for the 2017 Gibraltar Open.

World Champion Mark Selby, crowd favourite Jimmy White, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams, Ken Doherty and Kyren Wilson will be among the green baize kings competing in the tournament which runs from  March 3rd to 5th.

Marco Fu won the inaugural Gibraltar Open last season, beating Michael White 4-1 in the final.

“I’ve heard a lot about Gibraltar in the past but this is the first time I have been here and it is absolutely beautiful,” said Fu. “It’s always nice to be able to take part in a big tournament like this in a new place because we get to see the city and play snooker as well. Winning it is like a dream come true.”

This time, the tournament has become a full world ranking event for the first time. There will be 128 players in a flat draw, all battling for the prestigious trophy and a top prize of 25,000 Euros.

Tickets are ON SALE NOW and fans are urged to book fast to make sure of their seats, for this fantastic chance to see many of the world’s leading players in action live for the price of a single ticket.
