Pole Fitness improves overall strength, flexibility and self confidence. No previous experience is necessary to begin classes, though a level of fitness is recommended. Those with dance or gymnastics backgrounds usually find they get the hang of it (literally) quicker than others.
PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR
Veronika attended her very first pole class in 2012 and BOOM! A chubby bookworm was suddenly transformed into an enthusiastic athlete. Over the years she has learned from the best (World Pole Sports Championship, and the Czech Pole Championship gold medallists), attended many workshops, and eventually decided she wants to pass her skills on. Travelling and studies stood in the way at first but she finally got her Pole Dance & Flexibility Instructor licence in February 2020. Veronika hopes to inspire you to try this amazing and highly addictive sport that has changed her life!
POLE FITNESS
You will benefit from a fantastic workout which will definitely improve your fitness and health. Classes are planned for all levels with progressions and regressions for each move. Everybody's pole journey is different and conditioning exercises are given to work the main muscles used in this sport.
EQUIPMENT
All equipment is provided. Just make sure to bring some drinking water and a small towel to clean the pole before and after you use it. You could also bring grip aids if needed such as 'Dry Hands'.
TIMETABLE
Monday 7-8pm Mix Pole
Wednesday 19:00 (intermediate)
Wednesday 19:00 (advanced)
Thursday 19:00 (beginners)
WHAT TO WEAR?
You will need to wear shorts and a vest. A crop top is also recommended but not essential, as you need your skin to stick to the pole for certain moves. Leggings will not work unless the pole is made of silicone or you are working on conditioning and stretching only. They currently have one silicone pole but this will be shared between all students. Do NOT moisturise the day of your class or you will slip right off. It is also recommended that you wash your hands with washing up liquid before class to remove the grease from hands and prevent sliding.
